A Sweet Deal!

Got a sweet deal at Kroger this week. It was even better than I anticipated, actually. I bought these items:

All for $1.88!

How? Well...Thanks to tips from http://www.grocerygame.com/ , I knew when to use my coupons. And, thanks to digital coupons loaded directly to my Kroger card via their website, I got some added savings! (These automatically deduct from your bill when they swipe your card, and they're free.)

I bought: 2 Tide stain release packets, 18 ct. regularly $5.99, on sale for $4.99 if you bought 2. Used two, $3.00 off coupons, also had a $3 and $2 digital coupon for these. (Yes, that means they paid me $1 to take them home, folks!)

Also, 2 Dawn Hand Renewal dishwashing liquids, on sale for $1; used two, 50-cent coupons (Kroger doubles this), making them both FREE.

Next, the toothpaste. Crest for Kids was on sale for $1. I bought 5; used two, 50-cent coupons (doubled = 2 tubes free) and three, 75-cent coupons (= 3 tubes@ 25-cents each). Total = 75 cents.

Lastly, I bought 4 candy bars, on sale 2 for $1; used two, Buy 1 get 1 free coupons, making each 25 cents = $1.00.

For a total of: $1.75, plus 13 cents tax = $1.88 for 13 items.

Total saved: $34.12 (95%) SWEET!
