Last weekend, our nieces, Kaitlyn & Kennedy, had their 3rd birthday party. It's a little early--their actual birthday isn't until July 7th--but their little sister will be born on June 10th. So to make sure they had a special day all to themselves, they had their party before her arrival.
We all had a great time celebrating at a fun, relatively new place in Sugar Land. It's called Stomping Grounds Playland. When you enter, it looks a lot like any other coffee shop/cafe. But as you go back further, it becomes a big, indoor playground. There's a smaller area for kids 2 and under, and a much bigger area for older kids. Parents can take younger ones into the big area, though. Everyone had a great time. Adults can hang out at the tables and visit while the kids run, climb, and jump as loudly as they want. Sweet!
Here's Coop going down the big, very fast slide with Daddy:

Coop got a little cranky when we had to take a break from playing to go and sing "Happy Birthday" and eat cupcakes.

Kennedy is ready for cupcakes!

Kaitlyn says, "I'm ready, too!"

The kids all had so much fun, as soon as they sang and had cupcakes, they started disappearing back in the the playground. So, they packed up the gifts and took them home to open later, rather than try to drag kids back out of there again!
Cooper even got to open a late birthday present from Chris's Aunt Terri who came down for the party. Some of you will remember the darling little blonde-haired boy who was the ring bearer in our wedding, Chris's cousin, Jarrett. Well, he is growing up quite fast! Here he is, now at age 7--a very typical sweaty boy, taking a short breather from running his legs off in that play area! He is still a very sweet boy, just a lot taller & bigger!

Bye for now!
