Six months old...lots of changes!

Half a year? How did that happen? Our baby boy is now 6 months old. He had his check-up Monday: 15 lbs 10 oz. and 26 3/4 inches. And, he's cutting his first 2 teeth. (Yikes for Mommy!) I am still in awe at how quickly the last 6 months have gone by. As I now see my friend Carrie's baby boy, born last week, I realize how much Cooper has really changed and grown. (You could barely even tell Carrie was pregnant when she came to see Cooper in the hospital. She's had a lot of changes too!)

Chris went back to work today--first day of teacher inservice for the new school year. The teachers in my (old) district went back yesterday. They are sitting in meetings, wishing they could have time to set up and organize their classrooms, materials, supplies, textbooks, lists, lesson plans, etc. This is always the craziest week.

Today I have: fed Cooper, eaten breakfast, put him down for a nap, spent time reading my Bible, fed Cooper, cleaned up the kitchen, gathered the trash, done a load of laundry, played with Cooper, made banana bread, put Cooper down for a nap, swept and mopped the floors, eaten lunch, checked email...and now I await the next feeding. The rest of the day will hold more of the same. Possibly a run to the grocery store for a couple of forgotten items (hate it when that happens!) if it's not pouring down rain. A busy day in its own merit, yet drastically different than what I'd normally be doing this time of year. This year my "normal" will be redefined. And it begins with the sounds of baby boy waking from his nap ready to eat! Gotta run!

WOW it doesn't seem possible that Cooper is 6 mos old. What a cutie! We are all so blessed by him and so thankful he has such loving, God-fearing and God-loving parents. You are all a great blessing to us. Our love, Gran & Pop
