After being postponed twice, Snow Day at church
finally happened. The weather couldn't have been better!
And, since Friday's predicted snow was a no-show, the kids were extra excited. This was Cooper's first time to attend this annual event. He was really excited on the way to church. The time his class was scheduled to play in the snow worked out perfectly with our schedule of singing/playing for both services.
Hello, Snow!
He was a little hesitant at first because things were a little slippery. I think the sun had melted the snow just enough to make it icy. Also, his teachers couldn't find his gloves & hat and he refused to put on the extras they had.
He tried making snowballs, but his hands were too cold!
What's that bright, glowing thing in the sky?
It's hurting my eyes!
Here he is with his buddy, "Mr. Pete".
(He volunteers in Cooper's class.)
After Chris went back to his classroom and located
his hat & gloves, he was much more willing to "dig in" !
Kicking one of the big inflatable balls.
Their time in the snow was short, but I think he got his fill.
He was a little sad & confused when he had to go back to class
(and not leave with Mommy & Daddy).
He thought we were there to pick him up!
All in all, a very fun morning.
We topped it off with our own Super Bowl extravaganza,
complete with homemade hot wings and French bread pizza! Yum!

Love these pics of sweet Cooper. Did you download them to Walgreen's so I can once again cheat and use yours?
Love that boy (and his sweet Mom and Dad)!
