I've gotten behind, yet again....oh well!
We really enjoyed our week off for the Thanksgiving holidays. We started with a trip to San Antonio for my cousin Jake's wedding the weekend of the 22nd. You want pictures? Sorry. Forgot to take any. At all. Stupid me. I had my husband in a suit (those who know him understand the rarity), and my child dressed nicely, and I even looked nice (not well-rested, but nice!), and I forgot to even pick up the camera and shove it into the diaper bag. A Kodak moment gone forever. I'm blaming it on lack of sleep.
We came back on Sunday, and that very afternoon, he began pulling up on everything--standing up--on his own. New-f0und freedoms! ( I think I mentioned this in my last post--oh well.)
Next was Cooper's 9 month check-up. All is well--Coop weighed in at 18 pounds, 12 ounces (25th percentile) and measured 29 1/2 inches (90th percentile). No surprise there!
Then, Weds. through Friday we went out to Gran & Pop's. My brother & family were also there. Chris & Greg usually go hunting (but have yet to get anything???), so Cooper decided to help Daddy pack up his gun for the trip. He even got decked out in his camo gear.

Cooper loved crawling and exploring the porch and entertaining his cousin, Katie. He got to pet a kitty, and try out a rocking chair just his size.
Gran & Katie fed him his Thanksgiving meal: sweet potatoes & peas. Mmmm Mmmm! :)
Friday morning, I heard a strange rustling noise through the monitor. Not babbling. Not crying. Rustling. Chris was gone hunting, so I said to myself, "That can't be good." Here's what I found:
Pop had left some of his truck & gun magazines within reach of our newly standing boy, so he just helped himself!
Coop loved spending time with Greg, Charlotte & Katie.
Next, on Saturday, we gathered at the Chaddricks' to celebrate Aunt Lindsay's birthday. Grandma already had the Christmas tree up, and remarkably, it wasn't destroyed!
Cooper had a great time playing with his cousins, Kennedy (left) & Kaitlyn (right).
I'm sure this pose will be repeated many times through the years. And probably this one, too, with at least one of the 3 getting picked on in some way---and, soon to be 4! Aunt Lindsay is pregnant! We're all hoping for a boy. But just in case, Cooper had better learn to hold his own!
Hopefully, I'll post again sooner rather than later. But if not, see you later!
