"To Do's"

Something New To Do
Gran brought over a new item for us to try out. I'm not sure what it's actually called--she and Pop refer to it as a "Johnny Jump-Up". It probably has some new-fangled name these days. But whatever it's called, it's fun! I wish they had them for adults. Not that my legs would last for very long in it, but it would be fun for awhile. Here's a picture of bunjee boy after a good exercise session. (Make special note of the long, shaggy tousled hair. It's important for later.)

This Will Have To Do
One question I've gotten several times lately, and as early as about 6 weeks ago, was, "What is Cooper going to be for Halloween?" Does Cooper really have to dress for Halloween? After all, we did take some pretty cute pictures in a Pumpkin Patch. Plus, we don't have extra cash floating around to buy a Halloween costume, no matter how cute he'll look in it. I had some offered to me from his Aunt Lindsay also. A cute pumpkin, but it was too big. An adorable elephant, but Daddy said it had too much pink on it (looked girly). And Chris's Aunt Terri even sent us a snowman costume. It's very cute, too, but also too big. (It may show up on the blog around Christmas or New Year's though!) However....Last week I was going through Coop's closet and pulling out new clothes (new sizes) to wash and get ready for him when I ran across an outfit I had forgotten about. And, it came with accessories: a hat, and little booties to complete the ensemble. You're probably thinking that it sounds much girlier than the elephant costume! Nope! Here it is:

That's all I'm doing as far as a Halloween outfit. Besides, we're not going Trick-or-Treating, or even to our church's Fall Festival. It starts at about the time he's used to going to bed, and an unnecessary late night isn't worth it with him. Like his Daddy, he needs his night time sleep! I'm sure we'll go next year. And I promise I'll make more of an effort in the costume department if we do. (I think Chris is secretly hoping this picture foreshadows his pitching debut. He's predicting he'll be a lefty!)

The New Do
Cooper had his first haircut a couple of months ago. It was just a trim. Barely noticeable really. Well, we went back to see my friend Rosie yesterday. I desperately needed a haircut, and, as noted in the first picture, Cooper needed a trim again also. The first time, he was fairly cooperative. Curious, but still enough that she didn't have much trouble. This time was a little different. He is hyper-observant. (Is that a word?) She had a devil of a time sneaking up on him to trim that mop! What a wiggle worm! In the end, he actually had more trimmed than I wanted. The remnants of his dark brown baby hair are now all gone. He's offically blonde! He looks really cute, (and older) but I'm already missing his long, curly locks. I can only hope they grow back quickly. At least he's not a buzz-head like his Daddy yet! That would have been too drastic of a change. Someday I may prefer Coop's hair shorter like his Daddy's. But for now, I love the locks!

He's still my sweet boy, but looks too old. What do you think?

Oh my goodness! I am so glad you friended me, Jennafer! I am thrilled that you had a baby!

He is absolutely adorable. We had a little boy this year, too, in January. His name is Noah, and your kiddo has way more hair than he does!

You guys look like you're doing well. Hope you're enjoying mom-hood! I am!
