This past weekend Cooper got to meet his great grandfather, AKA "Paw Paw". Chris originally wanted to name our son after both of his grandfathers (Winston Barnhardt and Melvin Sebern), suggesting "Sebern Winston Chaddrick". Now, I really like Sebern (Paw Paw), and also had the privilege of knowing the late Winston (Grandaddy); they are wonderful men, honored vets both of them. Granddaddy passed away before we were expecting Cooper, so we never got his take on the name idea. But, Paw Paw's reaction was, "You can't name a kid that!" 'Nuff said.
You don't argue with a 91 year old WW2 vet. He offered several other name ideas throughout our 9 month journey, and likes the name we chose. He was really tickled to meet Cooper at his 91st birthday party, and ended up giving him a little gift to start his college fund! Thanks Paw Paw!
