Spring Break Landmarks

Daddy really enjoyed his Spring Break this year. In between trying to keep a fussy baby comforted so Mommy could sleep, eat, breathe, etc., he got to hang out with Cooper.

Spring Break was a landmark week for the Chaddrick family. First, over the weekend, Cooper took his first trip to Gran & Pop's ranch in Simonton. We have no pictures from this trip. We're not sure if it was the bumpy gravel roads, the change of environment, or that Mommy ate too much chicken fried steak that made Cooper fussy all weekend. But, there weren't a lot of "Kodak moments".

Next, on Sunday, our puppy turned one year old. (The "horse" pictured at the top of our blog. No birthday pictures of him either. Poor neglected puppy!

Monday marked Cooper turning one month old! Hard to believe, but true. Aunt Lindsay came to visit him to celebrate the occasion.

Then on Tuesday, we all went to see Dr. McDonald, who brought Cooper into this world. She thought he was pretty cute! Tuesday was also Mommy & Daddy's 2nd wedding anniversary. Another hard to believe landmark for us. Much has changed in just 2 years. Granted, we're not as extreme as our friends the Dollahons (who is???), but it's been a lot of changes for us! (Visit the Dollahons at http://www.itsalmostnaptime.blogspot.com/ to see what I mean!)

On Wednesday, it was Cooper's turn to visit the doctor for his one month check-up. He weighed in at 9 pounds 2 ounces, and measured 22 inches. Doesn't he look comfy on the scale?

Thursday, our friend Carrie came to visit. She's expecting her baby in August and needed some practice. She even changed Cooper's diaper while she was here! We can't wait to find out whether Cooper will have a boy or another girl friend to play with. (Our friends the Smiths will welcome Hope Elizabeth in August, too!)

Today is Friday. Good Friday. A day for reflecting on all the incredible ways that God has blessed us--so vivid to Chris and me this year, especially. A day for thanking God for his amazing grace, poured out on us through his precious Son. Never has the reality of the Father's sacrifice of His Son hit harder than now, looking at our own precious son. What a gift! We hope you have a blessed Easter holiday. He is risen! He is risen, indeed!
